Mr. Sanjay Seth, Director-OTBL, Member
Mr. Sanjay Seth is a Senior Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure Programme with ‘The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI)’. His work covers a range of activities from City to Building Level Interventions includes policy analysis, sustainable urban planning, mainstreaming of sustainable habitats in the built environment, promoting low carbon & sustainable transportation, capacity building and knowledge creation.

He is also the Vice President & Chief Executive Officer of ‘Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) Council’. The ‘GRIHA Council’ - recognized as the ‘National Rating System for Green Buildings in India’, was developed by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in support with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. GRIHA Council issues ‘GRIHA Rating Certification’ for new buildings as well as retrofits and carries out all activities related to the issuance of ‘GRIHA Certification’.

He served as the Secretary of ‘Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India’ and also led the vertical on Building Energy Efficiency, responsible for the administration and financial management of the organization.

By training he is a Civil Engineer and has about 40 years of experience in the power sector, both on the supply side as well as demand side.

He also serves as a Member on various committees both National and International.
